Braised Chicken by Angela Seah Thulin



Braised Chicken Thighs 👍

3 big chicken thighs
2 cloves garlic, minced
2 onions...
1.5 cups water (using measuring cup)
2 tbsp Feng He dark soya sauce
1/2 chicken knorr cube
1 tbsp oyster sauce
1/2 tbsp sesame oil
1 cap hua tiao jiu
3-4 potatoes, in quarters
Canned mushroom (optional)

Steps -
1. With alittle oil, give a brief cook to the onion then to the garlic.
2. Add the chicken thigh down / skin facing down.
3. Then add water, dark soya sauce, chicken cube, oyster sauce, sesame oil, hua tiao jiu in. Mix well and let it come to a boil.
4. Lower the heat to medium. Add potatoes in.
Stir well.
5. Let it cook for twenty mins then add mushroom (optional) and flip the meat.
6. Continue cooking for another 15-20mins or until thigh is cooked. My total cooking time - 43mins. Done!
