Braised Pork Belly by Yokie Tham

Depending on portion..

Marinate pork belly (for abt 4 hrs) with:


2-3 tbsp dark soya sauce 
1-2 tbsp light soya sauce 

1-2 sachet brown sugar
Abit of five spice powder, pepper, garlic powder, sesame oil, hua diao jiu

Heat up pot and add in some oil..fry 2-3 cloves of garlic..cinnamon stick..star anise..cloves (those pkt spices)

Then pan fry marinated pork belly before adding e marinate and water (slightly more than just enough to cover all ingredients) into e pot..add in other ingredients such as mushrooms and tau pok..bring to a boil for about 10 mins then switch to low heat..add in eggs..cook them for abt 10 mins..remove eggs from pot to remove their shells and put them back into pot (so that they will absorb the sauce) to continue cooking..total cooking time abt 1hr - 1hr 15 mins so that the pork belly will b soft.
